Relatively open, but off fall line skiing
Freeride Skiing Difficult
Lost Shot Bowl is a great easy way to get down D Route. It is similar to Job 1, but there is less fall line skiing on the top part, but more on the lower part. Great preserved powder and chalk will be present in the upper section then there can be a variety of snow conditions the rest of the way down. Start by getting through upper Z Chute, once you get past the steep North facing part it opens up onto a shelf, and you can go either left or right. Head right to get onto Lost Shot Bowl. Look further right and you will see where Lost Shot Straightline comes down. From here, the turns are just a little off fall line towards the right. It then cruxes down a little bit, especially in the early season, before you find yourself in a short chute that trends to the left. Once out of this chute, you're home free and can milk Z Fan for all it's worth.
