Upper Coffey's Map

Upper Coffey's is a great way to exit Conehead's in a higher snow year. It is South facing, so it can have warm snow in the mid season and spring. On a powder day mid season in a thicker snowpack, Coffey's shines. Ski down just past the entrance to King's, starting Conehead's, make a few turns then head skier's right. As you trend to the right, you will see the way into Coffey's. You will be on a hanging snowfield that falls off fall line and to the right, follow this, and you'll get into the technical part of Coffey's. Beware of rocks and snags in this section, they can turn your day upside down. Once past this quick techy part, you'll be in Upper Coffey's, and easy to ski a decently wide chute out into the North side of Z Fan.
