Description

Whether you’re basing yourself out of Calgary or Canmore/Banff we’ve got you covered with these 3 must-do hikes in the Alberta Rockies. From glaciers to overlooks of the legendary Lake Louise, you’ll feel on top of the world on all three of these trips!

Mt. Yamnuska — This one will fit the bill if you’re looking for a harder scramble, some scree skiing, or to sweat off the Calgary Stampede. Keep an eye out for rock climbers coming over the ledges once you get to the top of this classic hike!

Stanley Glacier — This relatively short, but unique hike gives you options. You can choose to hang out at the base of the glacier (and maybe go for a quick refreshing dip), or power to the summit of the glacier. Either way, this is an awesome opportunity to get up close and personal with a receding glacier!

Fairview Summit — Not to be confused with the extremely popular Fairview Lookout hike that every tourist flocks to, this one offers a birds’ eye view of Lake Louise at the top, with multiple glaciers coming into view as you make your way up.
