British Columbia is a land of extremes. It seems like any sport that you undertake in BC requires an advanced level of skill, fitness, and preparation. And it doesn’t even have to be a sport as extreme as mountain biking, downhill skiing, or rock climbing—most of the popular hikes in British Columbia boast formidable stats, ascending straight up near-vertical mountainsides.

If you aren’t game for an all-day hike straight up a boulder-filled mountain but you’d still like to walk to some epic viewpoints, consider these three easy waterfall hikes situated along the Sea to Sky Highway between Squamish and Pemberton. The Sea to Sky Highway is the major thoroughfare in the region, and yet directly off this busy highway you can park your car and walk to some of the most beautiful waterfalls in BC.

All three falls in this guidebook are strikingly different. Shannon Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in BC, is a 335-meter tumbling cascade. The water of Brandywine Falls plummets straight off a ledge into the valley below. Nairn Falls cascades down a narrow rock gorge filled with unique geologic features.

So don’t just choose one of these waterfalls—hike them all, either spread out over the course of a meandering road trip along the highway or in quick back-to-back succession. You won’t regret taking the time to experience all three of these gorgeous waterfalls!
