Hikes for the Entire Family in Yoho NP

Moderate hikes to waterfalls and alpine lakes, perfect for the whole family.

Hiking Easy, Moderate

Description

Yoho National Park is a superb family vacaiton destination, with an abundance of campgrounds, picnic areas, trails, and other attractions in a fairly compact area. Some sights you really don’t want to miss are the park’s famous waterfalls, like Wapta Falls and Takakkaw Falls (one of the tallest in Canada!). The region is also rich in fossils, as well as human history, which the whole family can explore in exhibits and on ranger-led hikes.

The following are some hikes that are suitable for the family without a guide. All are well-maintained and popular for their especially wonderful scenery. On these hikes you’ll find thundering waterfalls, placid alpine lakes, and of course, Rocky Mountain vistas.
