Description

Andermatt is one of Europe’s wonderfully untapped freeriding resorts. Situated high up in the Swiss Alps, the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun enjoys optimal snow conditions throughout the whole winter season.

Andermatt is a quaint mountain town nestled in the high-alpine Ursen Valley in the canton of Uri. It's a beautiful spot with a comparatively low-key apres-ski scene. From Zurich, it will take you 1.5 hours to reach Andermatt by car, or by train, it's a scenic 3-hour journey.

On top of the mighty Gemsstock, the region's most prized mountain at nearly 3000m, you can take in a spectacular view of around 600 summits. Starting at Gemsstock’s summit, whizz down from colossal heights across uncut tracks of fresh powder.

We’ve curated some of the best freeride routes to push you to your limits and get your adventure started.
