Whiplash Map

To enter Whiplash locate the last bowl to drop in before the huge cliff band towards the end of Chainsaw Ridge. Whiplash is only skiable depending on how the cornice has built up that year. If good, this is a fun steep pitch, which isn't too narrow and doesn't expose many consequences if you fall. That being said, make sure you check it out from below before you attempt this line, the cornice can get pretty big and unstable and the bowl immediately below it is often filled with huge chunks of avalanche/cornice debris which will cut the fun short. Traverse lines to Faller's Pillow are something skier should be aware of, but also worth picking up to get a little bit more vertical in your run.

Difficulty

Severe
