This is a popular freeride skiing route which is generally considered to be difficult. It's remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between December and March. From a low point of 1.3 km to the maximum altitude of 1.8 km, the route covers 903 m, 0 vertical metres of ascent and 475 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 3.2 and Labande grade 4.

Description

From the top of the Index chairlift hang a left following either the Lachenal piste or the Combe Lachenal freeride line. Where the Lachenal piste heads back left take this fall line couloir until you meet the Les Praz black piste.
