Plagne to Plaine dranse line. Map

A car is needed for this line as we need to drive to the "Lac des plagnes" to begin the hike. Skins will help because the hike is about 3 hours, between empty trees patches until a part with more steepness into a gully in the forest. The hike finishes when you join the top of a flat empty tree patch. Turn to the right heading a large empty patch of trees, "Pré-la-joux" chairlift is in front of us as guideline for navigation. Line is steep with some rocks and trees all along the way down, into a Est face what make the snow cover often weak due to low altitude as well. Avalanche risk is pretty high in the steep parts, trees can help to keep stable the snow. Line finishes at the bottom of green slope "Les Rubis" with access to Pré-la-joux chairlift.
