This is a popular freeride skiing route which is generally considered to be moderate. It's very remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between December and April. From a low point of 2.1 km to the maximum altitude of 2.9 km, the route covers 3.3 km, 8 vertical metres of ascent and 753 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 2.2 and Labande grade 3.
The North Face of the rock of Petite Balme gives rise to a narrow passage and rather rocky to lead on a beautiful slope joining Val Claret
