Couloir Balza Map

This line is in memory of Matteo Balzarotti, a good friend, too soon passed. It is a quite aesthetic couloir located just a little bit uphill Berni Couloir. It's quite steep and needs a 25m rappel to bypass a cliff. It should be skied with firm snow. It gives an amazing view over Monte Rosa glaciers and will give you the possibility to ski 2000m of vertical drop in an incredible environment.

Description

In order to access this line you have to follow the path towards Quintino Sella Refuge. As you arrive towards the final ridge that give access to the refuge take a hard right and head for a valley with some snowy bowls. Climb a little higher to reach the access.
