This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be severe. It's extremely remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between February and April. From a low point of 2.6 km to the maximum altitude of 3.6 km, the route covers 2.3 km, 10 vertical metres of ascent and 960 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 4.2 and Labande grade 4. You'll need rope, skins, crampons and glacier kit to complete it safely.

Description

This couloir is one of the most aesthetic lines on this side of the mountain. It starts right under Quintino Sella and getting inside is quite tricky, but you will be rewarded with one of the best ride in your life. 60m ropes needed in case the entrance lacks snow!

Steep skiing at 38-45 degrees. This requires very good technique and the risk of falling has serious consequences.
