Nefelgiu pass from Riale to Ponte

The intentions of the day would not have led us on this itinerary probably, but we were very lucky in the end. The itinerary described by this track comes from the evaluation of the snowy state after two days of intense snowfall: talking to the manager of a refuge near the Morasco Dam and friend of one of my partners we decide to approach the Nefelgiu Pass on the left compared to the Dam, to avoid being in line with potential discharges. The itinerary is absolutely SkiTouring, I do not recommend the use of the splitboard for numerous flat or semi-flat sections that have made the progression of our adventure companion a tiring one. Excellent snow conditions towards the Pass: the strong wind of the week has moved the snow making it safe. Be careful when it snows a lot, the step could be very dangerous. From the pass, a beautiful descent of about 300 meters before reaching the Margaroli refuge, in time for lunch. Classic descent from the valley below the dam to the downhill slope of the Ponte chair lift.
