A short hike up from Saddle Chairlift
Freeride Skiing Difficult
The summit is a must do when skiing Treble Cone. The best views are from here; you can see for miles in every direction and the highlight is the magnificent mountain of Black Peak. It's around a 20 minute hike and is always a good choice after recent snowfall as it has that extra height and catches the dry NZ snow. It also gives you a long run back to the saddle chair.
Be careful of wind and the slopes up here do get affected.
Once the top is reached there are many routes to ski down; it's an open face so pick where you want to go and go for it.
