A remote line after a big traverse
Freeride Skiing Severe
From the Laguna's chairlift, take the red slope Olimpica -this slope is pretty flat at the beginning and a bit narrow. The best approach is to take as much speed possible to join the black slope Tajo de la virgin. Please note this slope is closed most of the time so as soon as you leave the red slopes you are already in backcountry. Stay as high as you can- most of the time the track will be in. This is the only easy way to access this line. You can clearly see where there is a nice gully but we still need to carry on as high as possible above it. Once the gully area is passed there is a little ridge. We must continue the traverse to get access to the Laguna's area beyond this ridge - this is a hike of about 10 minutes. Bear in mind we are traversing a real steep part, between 45 to 50 degrees, so take particular care. Continue the really long traverse but instead of dropping into the Tajo de la Virgen, keep going in a straight line. We need to stay as high as possible to cross a small ridge (watch out for icy sections here). Following another traverse you will finish at a steep gully. After few turns in this gully stay on the left, watching out for rocks are everywhere, heading for a flatter area. Keep some speed to join Cartujo's slope to get access to the lifts. It's a great run to do with so many different areas but without too much walking needed. Remember this is a remote area so be sure about the snowpack.

A line based on the same route than the laguna as all these line are very well linked together as the "Tajo de la virgin" black slopes is the only way to access to this. The best is the to take as much possible speed to do not have to push too much with the ski poles.
