Mont-Fort - North Face Map

After climbing to the top of Mont-Fort continue along the exposed ridge. Before reaching the north summit you can traverse on to the west face - exposed - and then down on to the shoulder on the NW ridge to reach the entry point to the north face of the Mont-Fort. This infamous face starts off steep and then gets steeper. Ski down and make sure you find the critical traverse left to avoid the cliff. Continue down the rest of the steep terrain to join the Mont-Fort Glacier. Join the line from Jacob's ladder and choose your preferred exit to Siviez. Take harnesses and crevasse rescue equipment including 2 x 30m ropes in the group just in case.
