Head out of Keswick on the bridleway which climbs around Lattrig, and then skirts the side of Lonscale fell towards Skiddaw Hause. Tricky singletrack riding will keep you entertained but watch out for the obvious rocky section with exposure to your right. At Skiddaw Hause there's an option to ride the loop clockwise or anti-clockwise; the latter being probably more rideable, but both having some great riding. If anti-clockwise is chosen, then rutted bridleways descend to Mosedale, before tracks and road take you around to Calebreck. The track heading west from here feels wild, lonely and Scottish as it crosses the fells and old mine workings, before some fast grassy descending brings you to another section on the road, and a steep climb up past Whitewater Dash falls and the wide stone track back to Skiddaw Hause. All that's then left is to retrace your tyre tracks along the technical singletrack of Lonscale Fell, and enjoy the final fast descent around Lattrig back to Keswick.

Difficulty

Difficult

Mostly stable trail tread with some variability featuring larger and more unavoidable obstacles that may include, but not be limited to: bigger stones, roots, steps, and narrow curves. Compared to lower intermediate, technical difficulty is more advanced and grades of slopes are steeper. Ideal for upper intermediate riders.
