If you're visiting Little Rock and looking for one of the area's premier trail rides, then make your way over to Camp Robinson just north of town. Stacked loops, well-marked trails, and endless ride options make it a go-to for locals but an equally rewarding destination that rivals many of the acclaimed trails in Bentonville. Self-described as "a sustainable trail building and stewardship community," this may be one of the best rides in all of central Arkansas.

Description

In contrast to the other trails in the area, such as Rattlesnake Ridge or Allsopp Park, access to Camp Robinson requires either a day pass or Recreation Pass to enjoy the trails. Passes are available at the security building near the trailhead, where they will verify your license, proof of insurance, and other items before you can ride. Passes are also available by email, with more information available here.

While there are dozens of ways to enjoy the elaborate network, the Five Mile Loop seen here is the classic ride for first-timers. Once you feel comfortable navigating the loop, consider other trails like Can of Corn, Dogwood, Merlin, and others to build on your ride. A map and phone are both suggested while riding the area, and night riding is allowed for those who want to strap on a headlight and head out later in the evening. Detailed information on each trail's difficulty, features, and more is available at the trailhead kiosk.
