Cornice Map

This is one of the few areas where proper cornices will develop at any area of Northstar. As you make the hike up and get to the top of the Sawtooth Ridge area you will be atop an area that is very wind exposed which allows for a large cornice to form and create potential snowdrops into the North facing zone. Ski Patrol will always assess the safety of the cornice but it always wise to poke at the ridge to make sure it's safe and always be aware of unsettled snow conditions.
