Sidewinder -> Corral Map

"This area has a high density of trails for all ability levels and serves as the unofficial hub of mountain bike activity in the South Shore,” writes TAMBA. "Out here you will find the most legal features including log rides, jumps and rock rolls in South Tahoe including the new jumps, berms, rollers and hips TAMBA and SBTS built in 2014. The trails all run parallel to the Fountain Place paved road so they can be shuttled by car. Or with only moderate climbing involved these trails can keep almost anyone interested for hours.”

Description

The route mapped here is a loop option, with an option out-and-back singletrack climb and descent up the Armstrong trail. For the shuttle-friendly option, just use the nearby roads.

The descent on the Corral Trail anchors this route. This descent offers one of the best sections of flow trail descending in the Lake Tahoe region! With massive berms to keep the speed high and big tabletop jumps, intermediate riders can simply roll through Corral fast while advanced riders can hone their jumping skills.

In places, it was impossible for the trail to avoid some of the massive boulders the region is renowned for, so you can still expect the occasional tech move and rock drop.
