Moab is renowned for its uber-technical death-defying trails like Portal and Porcupine Rim. But what if you're not interested in risking life and limb, all in the name of a mountain bike ride? Then Klonzo is for you.

Description

This newer trail system does have some slickrock riding and a few rock gardens, but those rocks are offset by flowy bench cut singletrack. Even the rocks that you will find here aren't of the death-defying variety. Rather, Klonzo is the perfect place for intermediate riders to cut their teeth on easy rocks and slickrock slab riding in preparation for some of the more difficult trails in the area.

Located near the historic Sovereign and Salt Wash trails, Klonzo enjoys a similar zone and mellow topography, but does so on entirely nonmotorized singletrack trails. If you've tried out Sovereign but the rutted out moto trails got you down, head to Klonzo instead for a delightful bike-optimized trail experience.
