Threeway Chute #2 Map

A steep narrow couloir for experts, Threeway Chute #2 is sharply bordered by two prominent buttresses. Fifty feet below the entrance, the couloir funnels to its narrowest point, which is still wide enough to make turns, before widening out to the basin below. Watch for a cornice that builds at the top, usually most prominent on skiers right. This slope does not get much skier compaction, and avalanche hazard might linger here longer than other locations in Silver Basin. Ski and ride with a partner. Ski patrol recommends carrying proper avalanche gear.
