Description

Slap bang in the heart of the Four Valleys, one of Switzerland’s largest ski areas, and attracting everyone from professional skiers to ritzy holidaymakers and fanatical ski bums, Verbier is a jewel in the Swiss skiing crown. Not only does it boast extensive expert and off-piste skiing, but the setting is absolutely beautiful. Awe-inspiring glacial scenery and vast mountain panoramas, with views from the top of Verbier’s ski area- Mont Fort, at 3,330m- stretching as far as Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn make Verbier an incredible place to ski.

With over 120km of lift-served off-piste ski area, there’s a serious amount of ski touring to be done in the 4 Valleys. Here are 5 splendid tours to get your adventures in Verbier started. For a mini adventure not so far from the pistes, try the Bruson Backside. Those looking for a bigger, daylong challenge with a summit climb should go for the Mont Fort Hut to Prafleuri Hut route.
