The trail is a short and easy out-and-back hike that starts from the Provincial Route 41 north of El Chaltén. The trail follows a stream through a forest of Ñire and Lenga trees, where you can enjoy the shade and the birdsong. The trail is flat and well-marked, suitable for all ages and abilities.

The trail ends at the base of the Chorillo del Salto waterfall, where you can admire the power and beauty of the water as it plunges into a rocky pool.
