Hollywood Cliff of Kings
Freeride Skiing Extreme
Bomb Tram Cliff is named what it is because of the fact that you are jumping an area where there is an actual Avalanche Bomb Tram. Take Whistler Bowl to The Coffin bootpack/step up (which is right underneath the chair skiers right of Whistler Bowl). Once standing on top of The Coffin, ski left towards the Chair Pylon and carefully make your way down the convex shelf left of the pylon. This is a NO FALL ZONE there are large cliffs below. Eventually after about 10-15 meters you will have to traverse back skiers right to find yourself standing on top of a solid 30ft Hollywood Cliff! There is about enough landing for 3 or 4 people to hit this cliff in one powder cycle. There is a good spot to stand right on the nose of the rocks with view of the landing below. You'll want to wait for a good 20cm day to hit this bad boy. Exit is onto Surprise with plenty more options further down once you've stomped it.
You finish on Blackcomb Glacier so take crevasse rescue kit in your group. A minimum would be 30m ropes x 2, a long sling, 3 screwgate karabiners, prussiks and an ice screw.
