Pointe Blanche Face Sud

Easily accessible ski tour up to a saddle with a medium-difficulty ski back down to the car. Drive through Grand Bornand to Chinaillon then carry on up the road up the valley until snow stops you. Park there. Skin up the obvious track and round the hill and you can see Pointe Blanche. Pick the safest line up; we chose to climb and ski 'looker's left' of the peak due to heavy avalanche activity to 'looker's right' of the summit. Quite a tiring climb as it's steep, but a rewarding and fun ski down with phenomenal views across to the La Clusaz valley and down beyond off to your right toward Annecy.
