Chanrossa Bowl Map

The only difficult thing with the Chanrossa bowl is deciding when to drop in. As you come off the Roc Merlet or Chanrossa chair lifts head south towards the Col de Chanrossa face and cut off as high as you can above Jean Pachod red piste. Unless you are there very early there will already be traverse lines to follow the only thing to worry about is when to drop in. The further you go the more likely you are to get fresh lines and if you're feeling fit, after around 500m of traversing you can pop your skis or boots on your bag or put your skins on and hike up the open face towards Aiguille de Fruit for another couple of hundred vertical metres. Whichever route you take back down you'll rejoin the Chanrossa black piste or Creux blue piste where you can jump back on the chair and go find another line straight away!
