Another secret hidden route with an awesome Lion King theme. With lumps and bumps through the forest and the potential for some gnarly drops.
Freeride Skiing Difficult
Take the Dzeleuna chair lift and take blue 2. Follow blue 2 until you arrive at the interaction between Blue 2 and Red 1. Just 5 metres before the crossroad there is an entrance into the forest. This run does have some whimsical Pumba signs and figurines hidden in the trees but we must have missed them when winding our way through the dense forest.
When you enter into the forest bear immediately left. If you head right you will just land on the piste again within a matter of metres. The start of the run is playful and fun, winding over the moguls and bumps in the trees. You will land then on a forest cat track. After 1 sharp bend there is another entrance into the forest. This is where the route gets a little more serious. Err on the side of caution when re-entering the forest as this section is steep. It is obvious once you are there; there are 2 very tight paths in the trees, perfect for some technical turns and a few rocks to pop off.
You will then re-enter back onto the blue Val Veny run just above Peindient Chair lift having had a good fix of fun, fear, laughter and over all freeride stoke.
Difficult
Serious gradient of 30-38 degrees where a real risk of slipping exists.
