Follow the route description "Skårasalen" to get to the col between Skårasalen (1540 m.a.s.l.) and Storhornet (1375 m.a.s.l.). The descent follows the valley of Little Skåradalen all the way down to Skår.

At the south end of the col, there is often a big overhanging cornice to the east. To safely enter the descent, go as far north as possible, still below the rocks in the col. Gently drop into the valley considering the cornice and snow conditions on your way. The first meters are a bit steep (probably 35 degrees) before it soon becomes more gentle. Make sure to stay clear of avalanche run out zones on your way down. Follow the natural fall line in the middle of the valley, enjoy!

Depending on the snow conditions and what time of the year you make the descent, you most likely have to walk the last 300 vertical meters down to the fjord.

Follow the north side of the river until you come to a bridge. Cross the bridge and keep traversing to the right until you arrive at Skår. If you come on the south side of the river right before the bridge, there may be some exposure to cliffs beneath. In that case be careful.
