Some of the best off piste turns in the area
Freeride Skiing Moderate
After coming off the Murren-Birg cable car or off the Riggli chair head down to the left along blue piste Number 11 to the head of the valley. After the netted area you can turn off the piste to access about 250 metres of consistent steep turns that offers some of the best powder in the area after heavy snowfall. It is a great place to try some steeper turns in deep powder as it is not too long and offers great conditions after snowfall. You can drop in almost anywhere off the piste but caution should be taken where areas are untracked as they are often hiding rocks. This goes down to rejoin the number 11 piste in the base of the valley. Watch out for the later opening of the Birg/Schilthorn area after snowfall as it normally doesn't open until late morning due to the time it takes to clear the pistes.

Slopes become slightly steeper at around 25-30 degrees.
