Most people ride Downtown during pedal-driven loops, such as the Uptown -> Downtown Loop. That said, since this directional and mostly downhill trail runs along the base of the resort, it often serves as a useful conduit to move downhillers around the mountain.

Description

The singletrack on Downtown is smooth and non-technical, providing a perfect introduction to mountain biking. In fact, this may be the easiest mountain bike trail in the region, making it a perfect place to introduce new people to the sport.

"Downtown meanders through a pine forest and offers mountain views through the trees, according to MammothTrails.org. The soil can be a bit loose in places due to the volcanic pumice, but overall the tread is predictable.
