Bowl skiing tree run
Freeride Skiing Difficult
Once you off get the chairlift, head to the right and follow signs to Zuma Bowl. As you get to the top of a flat spot, you will now go back down skier's right along the ridge and follow the rope closure. Look for the backcountry gate here and enter through it. This line covers the quickest access into the Beaver Bowl and no traversing is required. Keep in mind that if you drop too far skier's right, you will miss the correct pocket of trees. It faces NW so the snow is usually very good. Make sure when you drop into the bowl to be aware of rocks exposed. After you get to ski the mellow bowl, you will enter the trees and this is where the skiing is steep. The pockets of trees here are usually very good, but keep in mind that they can still slide. The trees will get tighter as you enter the bottom of the gully. Once you start to run out of pitch, you will follow the exit route out through the trees. There will be several pitches and some fun turns on the exit, but for the most part it is pretty flat.
