Lodgeview Map

The standard Lodgeview line consists of a wide-open glade on the far end of the ridge. This widely-spaced glade is relatively low-angle, making it a very approachable line in Mirkwood Basin.

Description

While Monarch assigns this glade a double black diamond rating, that rating is debatable. Lodgeview is very similar in aspect and technical difficulty to nearby Southbound, which receives a single black diamond rating. If you’re looking for a wide-open glade that gets little skier traffic, you’ve come to the right place!

To access this line, drop from the top of Mirkwood Bowl toward Mirkwood Trees, traversing along the ridge to skier’s right. Remain high on the ridge, passing Mirkwood Trees and Staircase, while working your way to the very end of the ridge. Unfortunately, you’ll lose quite a bit of elevation as you drop down the ridge, meaning that the run down Lodgeview is over quite quickly. For a more rewarding descent in this zone, check out Lodgeview: Longer.
