After following the Mustang Traverse Route through the gate, you will be on top of a quiet, open powder field. It is a low angle powder field that is a great option for escaping the crowds on a busy day. Choose your route wisely to gain speed and utilize the most vertical, but keep in mind to stay skier's left as you are out of bounds. Favor skier's left and end with the short steep bowl at the bottom that can be quite fun. After that bowl, you will be entering back into the ski area so be careful of the rope closures.
