Freeride Skiing Difficult
Tweeners is a short couloir sandwiched between Abes on skiers left, and Old Mans on skier right. The entrance to Tweeners is fairly straightforward if there isn't a cornice on the ridge. The top of Tweeners is steep and the couloir narrows to a small rock drop about half way down. Make sure to not stand in the run out and be aware of where you are regarding other zones in the area. From the bottom of the Tweeners couloir, you have an option of navigating a cliff area to an open meadow directly below the couloir. Be mindful of large drops and a significant convexity at the top of the open meadow. From the open meadow, follow the sub ridge NE. The sub ridge will lead you to a fun treed run which is difficult to navigate, but worth the effort. At around 9800' you will need to starting navigating north back to the main basin, and the trail to the East Vail neighborhood. Another option from the bottom of the couloir is to head NE to the open basin. Once you are out in the main basin, you can descend along the tree line following the drainage. There is a small waterfall area that can be easily navigated on the way down and out. Follow the drainage to the tracks heading north which lead to the trail to the neighborhood to pick up the bus. From either direction, keep eyes open for rock drops, drainages and terrain traps.

This isn't much of a secret, but it can be really good, and the huge amount of terrain can stay good pretty long into a powder day.
