X Couloir Map

X Couloir is a great North facing chute that sends you out between Diagonal and Stimulus Package to the South and Shlushman's Ravine to the North. It holds cold, dry snow all season long. It sees a fair bit of traffic from people traversing into it. The upper part hardly ever gets skied. It gets sluffed out by patrol on most powder days. There is a peppery rock band at the bottom of the chute that doesn't get filled in until mid season at least, so make sure you're in control near the bottom. Ski down past Trolley and fade more left than Stimulus package to ski this from the top. You will want to have memorized your entrance from below before attempting this. You will have a small air or bushwack into the very top of the tight chute. You can also ski down Trolley, then head right, finding either of two traverses that go Southeast through pecker trees above the gut of the Ravine. You may have to do a small air to get into the chute from these traverses as well.
