The seventh of the Anesthesia Chutes off of Fantasy Ridge.
Freeride Skiing Severe
The hardest runs at Park City are what I call the Anesthesia Chutes off of Fantasy Ridge. They are barely ever open, but when they are, the chutes are adrenaline-inducing thrill rides. They only open on deep powder days when the rocks and exposed terrain are covered. Seventh is by far the most extreme out of all of the chutes. It has a possible cornice entry like number 6, but not as narrow. Once you enter, it is a very steep, narrow couloir surrounded by cliffs. Once you near the bottom, you have two choices. One is to straight-line it out through a very steep but short shot into Dutch Hollow, or you can hit the 6-foot cliff that spits you out in the same area. The exit is what makes this chute the hardest.
Severe
Steep skiing at 38-45 degrees. This requires very good technique and the risk of falling has serious consequences.
