Pinball Alley is a classic line on one of the most iconic mountains in Utah, Mount Superior.
Ski Touring Difficult
Pinball Alley is tricky to get to. Park at Our Lady Of The Snow church 7 miles up the canyon. See separately described Mount Superior Approach. From here follow the pole line up to Cardiff Pass. Follow the ridge up and down to the west hitting Black Knob and Little Superior along the way. Once you top out on Mount Superior ski the S face, trending to the right until you get to the base of the chute.
The top of the chute starts off the south ridge of Mount Superior and drops into a very narrow and winding chute. The upper section can be very steep depending on winds and depths of snow that winter. The chute is barely wide enough to make turns in, but it's not very long and deposits you back high up on the south face of Mount Superior. A fun link up is to then descend to the bottom of Suicide Chute, boot up that and ski it down to the road.
