A great place for your first unmarked glade
Freeride Skiing Moderate
Due to its close proximity to the trails on both sides, Jester Woods makes a great first unmarked glade. As you ski across the top section of Upper Jester, just beyond Upper Organgrinder you should see a very obvious unmarked glade. This is Jester Woods. Because it’s so obvious, you won’t find any fresh powder in here. But it’s still a lot of fun. The top 20 feet is open, waist high spruces which quickly blend in well spaced woods. The pitch is very similar to that of Bravo Woods on Mount Ellen. After a few hundred feet you’ll cross Spillsville, you can exit here or continue down. The lower section is not too different in difficulty or distance. You’ll pop out on Organgrinder. You can take Grand Stand or Downspout if you wish to return to Heavens Gate.
