A steep open glade.
Freeride Skiing Difficult
A steep open glade, False Summit starts just before the first Southback gate. Access by hiking the Throne until you reach the first flat spot. False Summit starts here. A few small alpine firs dot the upper slope early season. This slope quickly becomes less steep. Watch for the cedar bench a third of the way down, which is steep and often rocky and might require mandatory air. Veer to the right or left above the trees to avoid this area.
