Dog Mountain Trail Map

Dog Mountain is one of the more popular days hikes to explore Mount Seymour Provincial Park. A shorter 5-kilometer hike with minimal elevation gain overall, it's a great way for everyone in the family to enjoy cliffside views reaching as far as Vancouver on a clear day. While some may consider the hike easy, others may consider it moderate due to the uneven terrain laden with rocks and roots. Short, yet steep, climbs can also be more difficult for some hikers.

Description

A common trail to snowshoe in the winter, this hike can also be extended with a side trip to Dinky Peak, or by forming a loop with the more difficult Suicide Bluffs Trail. Due to its popularity, a hiking permit and parking pass may be required during certain time of the year, so plan accordingly.
