Almost never in condition, a short but steep ski through rocks leads to the glacier.
Freeride Skiing Extreme
Made famous in the film the "Blizzard of Aahhhs". Rarely in condition, this is a steep line starts just out of the Aiguille du Midi ice cave entrance. It gets it's name from the French for dustbin as this was once upon a time the rubbish shoot. The line has a rock band in the middle and needs extremely good snow cover- this has been very infrequent in recent years and this line may be of historical interest only. Whilst short, a fall here would be serious. The bergschrund is also often quite open at the bottom.
