Combe du Bras

This is a beautiful, sunny off-piste run in a quiet corner of the ski area, at fairly low altitude. The skiing is fun and not too hard, but be aware that the area can be very avalanche prone and has been the scene of some huge avalanches in the past. Check avalanche forecasts and the snowpack very carefully before you commit to the descent, and escape back towards Villard Reculas from the summit of Le Bras if necessary. From the top of the Signal, follow the Souveraine piste until the ridge turns left away from the piste. Follow the ridge easily with some poling and gentle uphills to the radar station on the summit of Le Bras. From here ski directly down the broad SE ridge, heading straight for the village of Huez. Once past the avalanche control plantations on the right, turn rightwards down the fantastic, open south-facing slope, bearing left before the bottom to traverse back to meet the road just above the Televillage gondola station in Huez.
