Leisch Canyon Map

In the late afternoon, and throughout the spring time, the sun hits the Leisch canyon making for a beautiful descent. It does require good snow cover however, and must be avoided immediately after heavy snowfalls as avalanches come down the sides easily. This is a very popular run into the valley after skiing the itineraries coming down from Punta Indren or Passo Salati Piloni. Most of the time there are large moguls which require good ski skills.

Description

From the dam on the Endre plain, follow the itinerary to go back to the middle station. In the middle of the traverse, go down the steep slope on the right side. Beware of an ice fall on your far right. Follow the valley to the entrance of the canyon. Occasionally there is a pool of water at the beginning of the canyon so be careful not to ski into it. At the end of the canyon you can follow the track by the river on the right side to reach the Moos piste and continue on to Stafal.
