This off-piste section is a good alternative to the Moos piste on the way back to Stafal or a great run in bad visibility. It is a very popular descent with many variants on the left of the gully. As it descends below the gondola from Stafal to Gabiet, it is easy to check the conditions. The flat section at the bottom almost always has a track already set making it easy for snowboarders to reach the piste again.
From the middle station at Gabiet, descend the piste. After 100m, go into the valley below the gondola. After the first narrow section, curve a bit to the right until you reach a wide slope ending in the woods. Follow the track near the river (on the right side) to reach the Moos piste and continue on to Stafal.
