A cliff drop to straight line
Freeride Skiing Extreme
The size of the drop depends greatly on snow conditions, but even when it's small it's full on! The easiest way to access is via the upper cirque traverse and just past the diagonal chutes. There is really only one way to ski Death Chute, and when you get there you will see for yourself. The drop off the top can range from 0-20 feet and it is critical to stick the landing. The landing zone is in the narrowest part of the chute and not even as wide as the length of a pair of skis, so when you land you are still pointing them straight to the bottom. If you aren't feeling it right away, it might be worth a run down the much easier but similar Elevator Chute one chute further down.
