A very steep and rocky way into Great Scott
Freeride Skiing Severe
The Rats Nest is an alternate, but not generally easier entrance into Great Scott. There is a rope to help you side step down the steep and exposed rocky section into Great Scott. To find the rope use the Silver Fox gate then immediately stay high left and you will see the Rats Nest gate. This can be a great way to ski Great Scott if you are intimidated by the standard entrance, however Rats Nest is no peachy entrance either, and your skis will hate you.
Severe
Steep skiing at 38-45 degrees. This requires very good technique and the risk of falling has serious consequences.
