A-Basin Line (aka The Nose) Map

This short open glade is often deep and untracked due to the long traverse to reach it. Take either the front traverse or back traverse towards the Throne from the top of the Chair 6. Stay on the ridge until you reach the start of the Throne hike. Continue traversing across Hamburger Basin under the Throne Chutes all the way until you reach the ropeline that separates Hamburger from A-Basin. If the gate is closed, ski or ride on the skier's left of the rope. Thanks to prevailing winds, this protected slope often fills deeply with snow. This is a relatively easy run for those looking to test themselves in deep snow. However, the traverse is quite long and may be challenging for snowboarders. Watch for rocks along the traverse. If the A-Basin gate is open, enjoy the deeper trees on the skiers right of the ropeline.
