Steep line that works its way between the rocks before dropping into West Bowl
Freeride Skiing Difficult
Lox Chute is located at the far end of the ridge along West Bowl, past Monday's, Cockalorum and Stefan's Chute. Lox's Chute takes a similar route to Stefan's. Travel between the rocks, taking the narrow path up top that is very steep before opening up into West Bowl below, and moving below Cream Cheese Ridge up above. Lox Chute and other lines within the West Bowl are accessed from the top of the Peak Express by taking a right turn and following signage for Upper Peak to Creek, keeping an eye out for the traverse to West Bowl, located after the Whistler Bowl traverse located on the right hand side. Once along the ridge, traverse to the very far line before the ridge becomes more gentle and turns into Cream Cheese Ridge. Lox Chute and Stefan's Chute are similar in nature, although separated by the large outcrop jutting out of the top of the ridge. Once you have reached the wide open West Bowl below leading to Highway 86. All lines in the West Bowl zone require using the Highway 86 road below to get back to mid-station (top of the Creekside Gondola and base of the Big Red Express). If it is a powder day, be sure to check the wait times for the lifts at lower elevations on the light boards before choosing lines in West Bowl and descending too low - you might get tangled into massive lift lines on the lower mountain, meaning that it will take far longer to reach West Bowl and other zones off Peak to hit up more lines.
