West Cirque - High Entrance Map

West Cirque is already a difficult and ultra-steep run at Whistler. The High Entrance takes things to another level all together. You must hike to it initially take the West Cirque Access Road route, cut skiers' left, and hike up to the knob above West Cirque. Another way to get to this knob is to ski to the main entrance and hike 90 degrees skiers' left straight up to the top of the knob. The high entrance itself is heavily corniced and has more cliffs and rocks to be wary of than the primary entrance. Depending on conditions, you may have to jump a cornice and then straight-line until you get to the primary, already steep, regular West Cirque and slow down only then. This is an intimidating entrance that makes an already difficult run 10x harder!
